Super Senior Tuesday was Sensational
While the freshman, sophomores and juniors focused their attention on taking the PSAT exam, seniors enjoyed a Super Senior Tuesday! They started the day off hearing from the alumni office and representatives from Balfour with class rings and graduation goodies, followed by a delicious Oakwood Smokehouse barbeque lunch and Ravon Rhoden who provided steel drum music. Students then enjoyed paddling in kayaks and canoes out on the lake, soaking up the sunshiny day. The day concluded with the seniors creating artwork for ceiling tiles in the Student Center.
“I was more than pleased with the great turnout and participation for Super Senior Tuesday,” said Mrs. Price, Assistant Dean of Students for Multiculturalism, Leadership and Student Programs. “The students were engaged and appreciative for the opportunity to connect with each other. They shared some wonderful ideas on different ways they could celebrate their senior year together in the coming months, so I’m happy with the engagement. I was surprised how much they enjoyed working together to create the tiles – which will hang in the Student Center soon with one already hanging in the fine arts building! Seniors can stay tuned for the next special event based on their suggestions.”
