A Carnival-Themed Night: Recapping the Memorable Middle School Social

By Meera Patel, Middle School SGA Vice President, Class of ‘28

As one of the first major Middle School events of 2024, the MS Social did not disappoint! Our Carnival-themed social consisted of a variety of different activities, such as Face Painting, Spike Ball, Giant Connect 4, and Big Jenga. Additionally, while also having multiple areas for students to relax with their friends, there were Basketball and Skeeball inflatables, along with a HitLit unit, which allowed two students to compete against each other in an interactive light game!

We were also able to serve fresh snow cones and buttery popcorn to all the students, which everyone enjoyed. Additionally, from the several donations that we received, we had cookies, chips, and a variety of drinks from the seventh and eighth grade classes.

At the end of the social, everyone started dancing and singing to the music that had been playing throughout the entire society. Rowan Bayer, a current eighth grader, recalled her experience at the social, saying, “The social was one of the best ones so far! The music and food were great, and I could let go and have so much fun with my friends!”
