Let’s Get the New Year Started!
It’s that time of year – time to prepare for the coming 2022-23 school year!
Please be sure to check back as any new information or changes will be added here.
New Students
If you have questions about the admissions process at Montverde Academy, many of those can be answered in the FAQ. If you are a new Boarding student and have questions about residential life, you will want to explore the Student Life portion of our website. You can view the Welcome Week (for Boarding Students) activities here.
The MVA campus store, located in the Student Center, opens on August 15th and is available to purchase a variety of approved outerwear for the academic day, as well as spirit-wear for our spirit Fridays and spirit items.
Parents of new students may want to join the Parents Association Facebook group about current and upcoming events within the Parent Association.
Transportation Needs
To arrange for student transportation to campus from the airport, bus terminal, or train station the Transportation Request Form MUST BE COMPLETED to provide us with the required travel details. It is important to fill this out as soon as you have your travel itinerary so we can arrange your pick-up. Please remember that students are NOT allowed to take taxis, Uber, Lyft, or other forms of transportation from the airport. They must contact us with their itinerary to arrange safe and reliable transportation to campus.
When arriving at Orlando International Airport (MCO), it is important to know our meeting place is for pickup, Terminal B-Level 1 outside parking space B26. Please review the Airport Guide provided on the Orientation Page or bookmark the site address to your phone for reference. It shows you picture-by-picture how to get to this parking space from the gate.
For any questions, changes, or delays, please email transportation@montverde.org. During travel, if there are any changes to flight itineraries, delays or questions you MUST call the Administrator on Duty at 321.231.4106. Add that number to your WhatsApp for those that do not have U.S. phones.
Student Pickup/Drop-off
Upper School
All Upper School students should be sure to have notebooks, notebook paper, pens, and pencils for the first day of school. During the first week of school, Upper School teachers will let students know about any additional materials or supplies needed for their courses.
Most school supplies are available for purchase on campus in the Student Center. The Academy will also arrange trips for boarding students to local-area shops to purchase any necessary school supplies.
Students taking Honors or Advance Placement courses should review the Summer Reading List, which can be found on the Upper School academics page.
