On Saturday, December 7, at the Habitat for Humanity Jingle Build-Off, Upper School students helped bring smiles to children in need by designing and painting custom playhouses.
“I painted Elsa and Anna on a little girl’s playhouse with Zoha,” said senior Amelia Drury. “The joy on the girl’s face when she saw the characters was unforgettable. Another team created a galaxy of moons, stars, and planets on a little boy’s roof, and it turned out amazing!”
The event was a meaningful experience for everyone involved, blending creativity and community service to make a difference. The playhouses will soon be featured in Tavares’ parade, a proud moment for the MVA team.
“My favorite part was seeing the finished houses,” Amelia recalled. “Some were super cool, and I imagined how much I would have liked them growing up. It felt great to see all the little kids today getting toys they can use to grow their imaginations.”
