MVA Student Ryan LeBreux’s Hockey and Academic Success
MVA Student Ryan LeBreux has overcome many things during his first year at MVA, however, balancing his passion for Hockey and academics has been impressive, to say the least. He and his family recently moved to Florida from Ottawa, Canada, and fell in love with Montverde Academy.
“I came to the United States because I wanted to go to school here so I can play an elite level of hockey while getting a good education.,” said Ryan LeBreux, MVA Class of 2023.
He joined his team, Florida Alliance, in Rochester, Michigan for the 16U Triple-A National Championship where they, unfortunately, lost but helped them gain motivation for the next season. As a team they would practice in Tampa, leaving Ryan to drive an hour and a half to his practice, but never forgetting his studies. “I get to do homework in the car while I head to the rink, but ultimately, it’s all about time management, which the Academy helps with.”
This summer, he will continue to practice in his hometown, Ottawa.
We are so proud of you Ryan and your continued efforts to balance your academics at MVA and your passion for hockey!
