Mr. Daniel W. Koivu Remembered

It is with sadness that Montverde Academy shares that Daniel Wilbert Koivu passed away on March 22. Daniel had been an accountant with Ernst & Ernst who was asked to join the MVA Board of Trustees. He then went on to establish his own accounting firm and served at MVA in that capacity for more than 30 years. Koivu-Patterson Hall was named to honor his long- standing support.

“We honor and pay respects to Dan Koiuv given his commitment to the Academy,” said Dr. Kasey C. Kesselring, Head of School. “Dan was a longtime friend of MVA, who was deeply respected and committed to helping the Academy evolve through the years. On behalf of the entire MVA community, we offer our deepest condolences to the Koivu family.”
