For the past four years, I have had the privilege of being part of Kiwanis Family Day event. This event is held annually with Montverde Academy alongside MVA’s Key Club sponsor, Kiwanis Club of Clermont. The Kiwanis Club of Clermont, K-Kids, Builders Club, and Key Club attended the event and enjoyed team building activities. Through this event, our goal is to encourage unity and fellowship among the branches of Kiwanis.
Each team of students was tasked with bringing in a Minute to Win It game. K-Kids brought a cup stacking game, Builders Club brought a balloon game, and Key Club brought an escape room.
All participants were divided into groups based on the color of their name tag so that members of all branches of the Kiwanis Family could get to know each other. It was a great way to get different groups excited for how they can serve their community in the future!
Along with the family day event, we also held a fundraiser for the South Lake Animal Shelter with donations that could be dropped off during the start of the event. Thank you to everyone that donated!
