MIFC Competes in National Showcase
The Montverde International Futbol Club team competed against top talent from across the U.S. in the National League Orlando Showcase at the ChampionsGate Sports Complex this past weekend. The team was among 32 girls’ teams and one of eight in the U18 girls age group.
The MIFC team combined the talents of our U16/17/18 team and competed in three matchups. Our Eagles played well against Evolution from Ohio, in the only loss (2-1) in the showcase, but went on to earn wins of 3-1 over Wasatch FC from Utah, and a 2-1 victory over Legends FC from California.
“We had a great weekend of soccer and the experience was invaluable for all of our players,” said Coach Robbie Aristodemo, Head Girls Soccer Coach and MIFC Director. “Overall, we’re very pleased with how our young roster did among a talented field of opponents. We demonstrated our ability to compete and play our brand of soccer against top teams from around the country. It was great to see all our players competing, enjoying the game and representing our club so well.”
Congratulations to our lady Eagles on a great weekend of competition!
