MAIT Wrap Up

Thursday’s match up was between our MVA Eagles and Calvary Christian with our team earning a solid 102-64 victory. Friday’s game, however, was an upset as Sunrise Christian Academy, ranked No. 3 in the country, ran away with a last three-pointer to push them to a 66-69 overtime win. The team bounced back to earn the win over Wasatch, 73-66, to conclude the tournament with a 5-1 record.

While the tournament did not have the high-energy crowd present, the competition among teams was intense with a number of surprising outcomes throughout. MVA thanks ESPNU, ESPN3 and BallerTV for partnering with us to provide coverage of MAIT. It always takes the efforts of many volunteers and staff to make MAIT successful – and we want to be sure to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who made the tournament run smoothly, from the floor sweepers, food service and constant cleaning to manning the doors, taking care of players and more – we appreciate all of the hard work, time and effort that everyone put forth.
