Great Basketball Action of MAIT
While COVID-19 continues to impact events, the annual Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) will be held with limited audience capacity. The line-up includes elite teams from across the country: Wasatch Academy (#3 in the country), Sunrise Christian Academy (#4), La Lumiere (#5), Oak Hill Academy (#7), and Legacy Early College (#13) over two weekends – January 28-30 and February 4-6.

In the current COVID-19 environment, the schools agreed to a rigorous safety program that includes robust testing before, during and after travel. To reduce exposure from travel while still being able to compete at a high level, the schools will compete over two weekends from January 28-30 and February 4-6, remaining in a bubble environment in Florida while engaged in distance learning. Wild card teams for this year’s MAIT/NIBC include #9 Legacy Early College (SC) the first weekend and #22 Calvary Christian Academy (FL) the second weekend.
Multiple games will be aired on a nationally recognized sports network to be announced shortly. Seating is limited due to COVID-19 and reserved only for event sponsors.
