Ms. Jolie Parris from Full Sail University gave a presentation to EA SPORTS Gaming at MVA on the wide variety of opportunities available to students at Full Sail, covering everything from scholarship information to class offerings to degree paths.
Mr. Oshae Hicks, Coordinator for EA SPORTS Gaming at MVA, said, “Ms. Parris discussed various types of scholarships that Full Sail offers and outside of Full Sail. Some of those scholarships include the Creative Mind Scholarship, Emerging Technology Scholarship, Global Achievement Scholarship, STEM Scholarship, and many more. She even brought up scholarships for being left-handed.”
Students at Full Sail have a wide variety of career options. Some of those options include careers in technology, such as web developer, software engineer, mobile app designer, military simulation programmer, cybersecurity, and information technology; the arts, such as graphic designer, motion graphics artist, art director, and brand specialist; and gaming, such as 3D modeler, game developer, level designer, and QA tester. “The job forecast for these fields continually increases every year, so students can find jobs as soon as they graduate,” said Mr. Hicks.
Full Sail alumni have gone on to work at places like ESPN and Universal Studios and have done production work for performers like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, among others.
