Damian Eade (9th grade) and Divan Eksteen (10th grade) represented the MVA Fishing Club on Saturday, January 21, in Major League Fishing’s high school tournament held on Lake Harris.
It was the club’s first tournament and the first time Damian and Divan fished together competitively. They put forth a solid effort catching their limit of five largemouth bass, which secured a twelfth-place finish.
This is a great start for the young club considering clubs from as far as Alabama were in the field and many of the competitors were juniors and seniors with significantly more experience competing.
