Student Pickup and Drop-off

Upper School Drop Off / Pick Up

Upper school students will be dropped off and picked up in front of the NEST or in the parking lot of the NEST. Students with athletic bags can be dropped off in front of the NEST by entering the southern entrance to the NEST by the sand courts and pool.

Vehicles with Upper school students or Upper and Middle school students can be dropped off at this location. Upper School students can be picked up at this location.

Students who drive to campus must park in spots assigned by the Dean of Students Office.

Middle School Drop Off / Pick Up

Middle school students will be dropped off and picked up behind the Middle School building (Lindor Hall). The drop-off/pick-up line will start at Academy Lane and work towards 9th Street (northbound). The drop zone will be off 9th Street behind the middle school in the pull-off area. We ask that vehicles continue to travel north on 9th and turn right onto Porter Avenue to CR455 or head north on 9th until you reach CR455 to exit the campus. Please do not make a U-turn on 9th street to create traffic concerns.

Vehicles with Middle school students only or Upper and Middle school students can be dropped off and picked up at this location. If you only have an Upper school student please use the Upper School Drop off / Pick Up guideline.

Lower School Drop Off / Pick Up

Lower school students will be dropped off and picked up in front of the Lower School (DeWitt Building). The drop-off/pick-up line will start at the east loop entrance (one way). To help with the carline procedures and traffic management, please have the student’s name card in your windshield as you enter the campus. If traffic from the carline backs up, traffic will be directed into the west loop as a staging area. Please follow directions to keep cars moving along CR455.

Only Lower School students are allowed to get out of the car at this location.

All Parents, Students and Employees

Security guards and school staff will be present to ensure the safety of students crossing traffic. To help to ensure student safety, we ask for your patience while dropping off and picking up students. We also ask that you never park (or sit at idle) in areas that are designated as “No Parking” areas.

Please remember that Montverde Academy is a pedestrian campus, with hundreds of students and employees traversing our campus on a daily basis; therefore, the use of cell phones or any other electronic devices is strictly prohibited while driving on campus.

In addition, courtesy toward other members of our school community is required. Because we want our students to have a safe environment, inappropriate or aggressive behavior while driving on campus will result in the suspension of driving privileges on campus. Repeated violations will be considered a breach of the enrollment agreement.

Please note that the speed limit on CR 455 (7th Street) has been reduced to 25 mph in the area surrounding the school.
