Affording a Montverde Academy Education

Montverde Academy acknowledges that the cost of a college preparatory program is significant. We are dedicated to making an educational experience of this caliber affordable for highly qualified students who need financial assistance.

At Montverde Academy, we boast socioeconomic diversity within our student body. The goal of our financial aid program is to enroll accepted students who otherwise would not be able to attend due to financial limitations.

Montverde Academy does not offer merit scholarships, athletic scholarships, or tuition reduction programs. Our financial aid program serves families of students in Grades 6-12 and is based strictly on demonstrated financial need. Families must re-apply on an annual basis.

Your family’s financial needs are objectively evaluated annually using the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment program. Based on the information you provide; FACTS gives an estimated amount your family can reasonably contribute toward educational tuition. FACTS does not determine whether financial aid will be awarded nor does it guarantee that amount. Rather, the analysis guides the Montverde Academy Financial Aid Committee in making fair and objective financial aid decisions.

In addition to being an accepted student at Montverde Academy, a candidate must also meet the following criteria in order to receive allocated financial aid:

The Financial Aid Committee will evaluate all submitted materials; however, it is not always possible for Montverde Academy to provide financial aid that fully matches the demonstrated need of every family. Funding is awarded annually until the financial aid resources are depleted. Families considering applying for financial aid are therefore encouraged to apply for admission for their student well in advance of their upcoming school year.

Montverde Academy awards financial aid to students without regard to race, gender, religion, national origin or disability.

As an independent educational institution, Montverde Academy does not accept state or federal government-funded scholarships or awards. This includes the Family Empowerment Scholarship, Step Up, McKay Scholarship, and others.

Scholarship Opportunities at Montverde Academy

The EA SPORTS Gaming at MVA Scholarship Fund

EA SPORTS and Montverde Academy have partnered to create EA SPORTS Gaming at MVA. This unique program is designed to give students a thorough understanding of the gaming industry with the help of the world’s leader in sports video game production. Students will learn to create and market games and understand the methodology behind the curtain of this burgeoning industry. Students who have an interest in technology, game design, game development, or competitive gaming careers should seriously consider this opportunity. Students who live locally in the Orlando area will be given priority for this scholarship opportunity. One of the hallmarks of EA SPORTS as well as Montverde Academy is to be able to offer a world-class education that is affordable, which is the aim of this generous scholarship.

The Francisco Lindor Scholarship Fund

The Francisco Lindor Scholarship Fund was established in 2020 through a gift to Montverde Academy from alumnus Francisco Lindor. Lindor Scholars are chosen due to their merit, but the Academy cannot give merit aid. So in essence, a student’s initial financial aid award remains the same if the student is selected for the honor of being named a Lindor Scholar. Additionally, due to Francisco Lindor’s MLB schedule, scholars are not chosen until after his season concludes in October or November. Therefore, the financial aid award process will be complete before the Lindor Scholars are chosen.
