Sixth-Grade Year
During the sixth-grade year, our students learn new skills across the curriculum that will provide a solid foundation for later years.
Sixth-grade students explore a wide range of ideas and develop their ability to think abstractly and to solve problems using deductive reasoning, and our teachers help them grow in their ability to see the world from different points of view. Students gain familiarity with the Spanish language and with the culture and history of Spanish-speaking peoples, participate in the arts through our rotation class, and build connections with others through athletic programs, clubs, and student organizations. During this important year, students also develop organizational and study skills and learn how to manage their time as they set short-term and long-term goals while taking increasing ownership of the learning process.
