    Montverde Academy was again very well with “The Cappies” (Critics and Awards Program) nominations – where high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews!

    Class of 2016 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced

    Troy Urquhart , Dean of the Upper School, has announced that seniors Xuchuxue “Irisa” Zhou as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2016 and John Taylor “JT” Hancock as this year’s Salutatorian for the Montverde Academy Commencement Exercises for the Graduating Class of 2016. The graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 1:00 PM inside MVA’s Center for Sportsmanship & Wellness (“The Nest”).

    MVA Receives Theatre Award Nominations!

    The Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts adjudicated two Montverde Academy performances. Forty different regional high schools were reviewed throughout the school year and the MVA’s Theatre Department was nominated for a host of awards in both the performance and technical categories.
