MVA Welcomes New Employees

We proud to announce that Larry Thompson, Associate Dean of Enrollment Management, has joined the Enrollment Management team, and Logan Troutman, Media Arts Instructor, has joined the Media Arts faculty.

Mr. Larry Thompson joins the Enrollment Management team as an Associate Dean of Enrollment Management, responsible for managing the admission process for potential Upper School students in ninth and tenth grade. Mr. Thompson joins MVA from Ocean View Funding Group, where he was a sales manager for the startup company. Prior to that, he gained valuable admissions experience as an Admission Counselor at Keiser University, and brings years of customer service knowledge to the position.

“I’m excited about joining Montverde Academy as I’ve always had the drive to fulfill a role in an educational setting and be a part of the developmental growth of our future leaders,” said Mr. Thompson. A native of Deland, Florida, he attended the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, to earn his bachelor’s degree in criminology.

Mr. Logan Troutman joins MVA as the Media Arts instructor, teaching tv production, broadcasting and videography to Middle and Upper School students. He will also use his experience as a videographer to assist in many of MVA’s marketing and advertising initiatives. Prior to joining MVA, Logan pursued his passion for film making as the owner of Storyline Legacy Films and SK Creative Marketing and worked for Go Sports Play Network, gaining valuable experience in creating meaningful content for business owners, telling compelling stories and building brands through videography and digital assets.

Logan, originally from Apopka, Florida, is a graduate of East Ridge High School. He attended and played football for the Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communications. “I applied to MVA for the opportunity to challenge myself and grow as a leader,” said Mr. Troutman. “It was a no-brainer for me to pursue my passions in both film and teaching, where I can inspire students while equipping them with the tools to pursue their creative passions. Now more than ever, it is very realistic to create a sustainable career based on the arts. As an artist myself, I enjoy getting them out of their shells, tapping into hidden talents and showing students that there are no ceilings to being a creative.”

Welcome to the MVA team gentlemen!
