John Weaver receives the Impact Influencer Award
Montverde Academy’s Dean of Students, Mr. John Weaver, recently received the Impact Influencer Award from D. B. Oakly, Commanding Officer, Navy Talent Acquisition Group Jacksonville.
“Our education system is filled with educators and counselors who personify characteristics of exceptional leaders,” said D.B. Oakley. “Trust, Passion, dedication, and knowledge are just some of the values needed to make a connection with students.”
Jacob Williamson’s ’21 acceptance into Auburn University on a full Navy ROTC scholarship has reflected Mr. Weaver’s mentorship abilities. While Jacob will be attending Auburn University in the fall on this prestigious scholarship, Mr. Weaver has been an important member of the college admissions process for all of our seniors as he offers guidance, in conjunction with the college counseling office, to set MVA students on the best possible path for success.
“Mr. Weaver is a deserving candidate for this award,” said Dr. Kasey C. Kesselring, Montverde Academy Head of School. “His dedication to the Academy and his role as Dean of Students only provide further proof that he is always striving to equip his students with skills that will help them succeed in the real world. Jacob Williamson is an incredible student and alumnus of the Academy and we are thrilled to have the two linked through this prestigious award. We wish Jacob the best at Auburn University and we are excited to see all that Mr. Weaver has in store for the students in the upcoming school year.”
