70% of our faculty hold advanced degrees and have more than 10 years of teaching experience. Many of our educators also serve as club/organization advisors, mentors, and coaches.
We offer several unique programs for students who have already decided on an area they’d like to concentrate on in college. The Subject Area Concentration (SAC) offers seven major concentrations that chart college preparatory courses for four years beginning in grade 9.

While academics are our primary focus at Montverde Academy, achieving the perfect balance of academics, athletics, community service, clubs, and activities is a very important aspect of college preparation. Community service, clubs, and after school activities help foster friendships and can help your student discover a new passion outside of the classroom.
130 AP Scholars
Montverde Academy had 130 AP Scholars in 2020, which included 8 National AP Scholars, 37 AP Scholars with Distinction, 27 AP Scholars with Honor, 52 AP Scholars, and 6 Capstone.
Montverde Academy has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 1927. In addition, Montverde Academy is one of very few schools in the state of Florida to have also earned accreditation from the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC).
A Quality Assurance Review is conducted jointly between SACS, FCIS, SAIS, and FKC.
