At the end of last school year, the Montverde Academy K-Kids held a raffle to win a brand new $2,000 Louis Vuitton Purse. Only 350 tickets were sold for a chance to win. The tickets sold out in less than 10 days and they raised $4,000 for New Beginnings – an organization that helps fight homelessness in South Lake County.
Kalena Myers, Director of Events and Community Relations for the Academy, helped organize the event and says she couldn’t be more proud of MVA’s K-Kids and the community’s response. “It’s amazing to see how the community pitched in so fast for such a good cause, ” she said. “The K-Kids worked hard on this event and the smiles on their faces made it all worth it. They were so excited to give back to New Beginnings and make a difference!”
