Montverde Academy’s mission as a college preparatory school is to “inspire students to become knowledgeable leaders with a global vision, instill a passion for learning, and nurture character development in a disciplined and diverse community.” At Montverde Academy, an emphasis is on a student’s individualized instruction in a friendly community where positive relationships help facilitate self-esteem, personal growth, and confidence. The driving force behind this process is our amazing faculty – in all three school divisions.
Over last month, MVA presented our annual Teacher of the Year Award to three extremely talented and dedicated educators: Mrs. Lori Treweek, Upper School Social Sciences and Government teacher, received the award in the Upper School, Mr. Tom Narducci Middle School History teacher for the Middle School, and Mrs. Kelly Kusterman, Lower School 4th grade teacher, in the Lower School. Congratulations to these teachers for making an enormous contribution to an education that offers a unique curriculum that integrates the important components of knowledge, character, and community – and where students are challenged with new ideas, and encouraged to do their best inside and outside the classroom.
