Lori Pollock, a MVA Middle/Upper Schools Art teacher, informed MVA Communications Office that Lower Schools students recently won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in two categories of the Lake County 2016 Law Day Poster contest! The Lake County Bar Association sponsored the contest for Lake County Schools elementary students. Prizes were awarded in two divisions: grades K-2 and grades 3-5.
Participating students were invited to choose from the legal topics of Miranda Rights or Equal Justice under the Law. Posters were judged on presentation, overall artwork, and interpretation of the respective Law Day theme. Montverde Academy took all six places!
The two 1st place winners were Reagan Triolo and Ashlyn Anderson. The two second place winners were Anyalis Otero and Tatriana Hinds, and the two third place winners were Srishti Tandon and Aidan Zabar. 1st place winners win a trophy and $100.00, 2nd place wins $50.00 an a trophy, and third place wins $25.00 and a trophy. All of our Lower School winners were invited to Mission Inn Resort with their parents to the law association luncheon held on Friday, April 29th, where they were recognized for their impressive artistic accomplishments.
