The 2016 Spalding Hoophall Classic began yesterday, Thursday, January 14th, and will run through Monday, January 18th.  An annual high school basketball competition, the SHC is widely regarded as one of the nation’s premiere boys’ high school basketball showcases.  Montverde Academy Varsity Boys’ basketball team’s first game will be played against Roman Catholic (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on Saturday, January 16 at 2 pm.  All SBH games will be held at Blake Arena on the campus at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.  MVA’s Center for Basketball Development’s Senior team (14-0), coached by Kevin Boyle, Jr., will also be competing in the SHC.  

Select games from the event will be available on The Cube.  This year, the tournament will be headlining matchups live by ESPN on Saturday and ESPNU on Monday (*live stats will be available for all games via GameChanger). The Montverde Academy Boys’ Varsity Basketball team are currently 16-1 and ranked in the top 5 of most national high-school basketball polls.
