Mr. Kevan Burns, Director of MVA Baseball/Head Coach of Montverde Academy’s 2015-2016 Varsity Baseball team, has informed Montverde Communications that the Eagles Varsity Baseball team will be playing in a series of fall exhibition baseball games against area teams as part of Central Florida high-school baseball’s annual fall development season – a long-established building block for regional teams and their spring season.  MVA’s first game will be TODAY (Wednesday, 9/16/15), against Lake Brantley High School, located in Altamonte Springs, Florida, in an AWAY game. Coach Burns is a former professional baseball player, and native of Beloit, Wisconsin. Joining Coach Burns as a “co-head coach,” and “coming out of retirement,” will be Mr. John Mayotte, a former coach of Mr. Burns, who has coached over 2000 games at the collegiate level, and has earned several hall of fame inductions and honors – which include membership into the Troy State Hall of Fame, and the Albany Twilight League Hall of Fame.  According to Coach Burns, Montverde baseball 2015-2016 season has a very talented and diverse group of MVA Highlight Baseball Players 2015-2016.  Coach Burns recently told MVA Communications, “As with any team, you can have all the talent in the world, but it inevitably comes down to the chemistry of the team coming together.  As a coaching staff we are very excited to help mold and develop all the players to contribute in their own way. We have players from several different countries, so there can develop certain challenges.  But when you have the right players, along with good coaches that understand those challenges, and who can truly bring a great experience for all the players and coaches, things should then turn out great also.  As the fall season begins we look forward to the team finding their chemistry.”
