Under the direction of 4th year Head-Coach Robbie Aristodemo, the 2014-2015 Montverde Academy Lady Eagles Varsity Soccer team was the most successful girls’ sports team in our school’s history. MVA’s Lady Eagles Varsity Soccer team finished their season 19-0-1, and were the first MVA girls’ sports team to ever be ranked nationally.  The Lady Eagles were selected as the #1 ranked girls high-school soccer team in the United States by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  They were also ranked #8 in the USA by TOP DRAWER SOCCER national girls soccer rankings.

After tying the first game of the season against Lake Highland Prep, the team went on an undefeated winning streak, including many shut-outs. In December of 2014, the team participated in the highly competitive 2014 Julie Weber Memorial Classic, a local tournament of 16 teams from central Florida.  The Lady Eagles eventually won the 32nd annual JWMC Championship after defeating Bishop Moore Catholic High School  3-0. MVA’s Lady Eagles Varsity Soccer team also won the 2nd Annual Women’s Invitational Soccer Tournament (WIST) that was held at MVA on the Friday and Saturday of December 12th and 13th. The tournament included a great level of competition that put the team’s talent to the test.  Yet, the Lady Eagles rose to the challenge and brought home the 1st place trophy.

MVA’s Lady Eagles Varsity Soccer team seniors receiving athletic scholarship next year are: Angel Campbell, Barry University; Delaney Crumblish, Queens University; Chelsea Greene, Southern Wesleyan University; Flavia Villaca, Talladega College.  In addition, junior Jasmine Spence has verbally committed to Mercer University.
