Mr. Ben Hicks, Bishops Gate Golf Academy’s Director of Marketing, informed Montverde.org that BGGA’s Director of Golf, Mr. Kevin Smeltz, and BGGA’s General Manager Mrs. Lee-Anne Misseldine, traveled to Haining, China, last week to assist China’s Golfuture Tour with their first event of the 2015 season: an informative golf clinic. At the beginning of the clinic, Mrs. Misseldine gave a presentation about BGGA and its training programs and philosophies. Putting an emphasis on the mental training and its role in developing a well-rounded golfer, she also highlighted the three key points of BGGA’s coaching philosophy that focuses on the individual, interdependence, and innovation.
According to Mr. Hicks, “After Lee-Anne’s presentation, Kevin gave an instructional clinic on the practice grounds of the golf club. Kevin shared the same knowledge he shares while coaching his many professional students. One of the highlights for the students was having the opportunity for some one-on-one coaching from Kevin on both the driving range and putting greens. Lots of players had the opportunity to learn some great tips from Kevin, and many athletes said they treasured the time spent with him that afternoon.”
