2010 MVA alumni Edmond “Steve” Moundou-Missi, a forward/center for the 2015 Ivy League’s Harvard University is continuing to have a great senior year. Last month he was presented with the 2015 Ivy league Defensive player of the Year Award. Moundou-Missi, a native of Yaounde, Cameroon, was also recently awarded the Co-MVP (Most Valuable Player) award from the Harvard University Men’s Basketball team too! Although Steve has completed his career playing for  Harvard University’s Men’s Basketball Coach Tommy Amaker, he is expected to be playing on the Cameroon national team this upcoming summer in hopes of also playing in the 2016 Olympics.

At Montverde Academy, Steve was known by many Eagles fans as an unselfish and disciplined basketball player. In March, Steve hit a jump shot to give Harvard a 53-51 win over Yale in the game’s final seconds. The win provided Harvard with an automatic tournament invitation.
