Mrs. Emily Long, Director for School and Community Service Programming, recently reported to that on Wednesday, March 11th , 2015, members of the 2014-2015 Montverde Academy Lady Eagles Varsity Volleyball program volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of Clermont, Florida. The MVA community service took place on the grounds outside the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center. The Lady Eagles conducted a series of instructional volleyball drills, and skills-development activities with children. All of the Boys and Girls children who attended the MVA community service event were engaged, and inspired by the fun and athletic adventure that also fostered physical fitness.

Mrs. Rachel Adams, Head Coach of the Lady Eagles squad, communicated to, “… giving back to the community should be at the forefront of our mission. After all, it is through sports outreach that most of our athletes have ended up where they are today. Sports play a major role in the development of positive characteristics in our youth. Through sports mentorship, our athletes are able to inspire the youth in our community. It’ great for our girls to take advantage of the opportunity to be a role model to others. There was a lot of excitement stirring at the Boys and Girls Club, and we look forward to returning for another training session in the future.”
