Regardless of what nationality, or region of the world one comes from, perhaps one thing is almost always certain: Food brings people together! On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, Montverde Academy McCammack Hall boarding girls students enjoyed another wonderfully scrumptious “dorm night out” dining after they travelled to Koy Wan Hibatchi Buffet, a Chinese-Japanese Buffet, located in Altamonte Springs, Florida. MVA chaperones for this off-campus dining excursion were: Mrs. Lily Bentley, McCammack Hall Resident Faculty, and her husband Mr. Todd Bentley, Upper-school ESL teacher, Mr. Eddie Padilla, Arnold Hall Resident Faculty, and his wife Mrs. Nicole Garcia. According to Mrs. Lily Bentley, “Everyone had a great time. We definitely came back to the dorm with a full belly.” MVA’s McCammack Hall is a two-story dormitory housing approximately sixty boarding students. The dormitory experienced an extensive renovation in 2006 that included the construction of a new roof and restoration of bathrooms and installation of improved air conditioning, secured/energy efficient windows and water heaters.
